Howie Day: The Fans - My buddy Chris (yes, the same Chris who designed this site for me) created this site before anybody knew who the eff Howie Day even was. Now it's the number one site for all those wacky Howie fans out there. I would feel like a tool for not giving it props on my own site.

SITE UPDATES!

Bummed out about mp3.com's new corporate take-over?! Worried that my MP3s are lost forever? Breathe a sigh of relief...

  • Waking Up recorded @ Deep Ellum Studios, Craig Smith--engineer

Also, I keep talking about how I'm gonna get an album put together and blah-dee-blah. But let's face it: That's not happening for a while.

But do not despair, for I plan to keep making updates and will eventually get around to revamping this site to make it more of a personal thing than a music-oriented thing.

So keep comin' back and see what's going on.

Funky Four-Star Freakshow

or, Yummy Yummy Coffee Time!

Well, I had my Four-Star Coffee Bar show out in Ft. Worth a few days ago and it was great! It’s been forever since I’ve played for three hours straight, and I must say that I haven’t had so much fun in a while. Of course, I have to give credit to Craig for making the show what it was. Craig dusted off his live sound engineer hat to give me a hand on Friday, and he was gracious enough to lend me half of his studio to make it all sound like a slice of heaven. So big thanks to you, sweetheart, for trusting me with the Taylor and half your livelyhood.

For all the people who I ambushed at the show, thanks for sticking around and making it fun. Without the energy of the audience, I might as well be strumming on a big fish and picking my nose. And I hope you liked it enough to come back for the next one.

A little side note: They make great coffee there at Four-Star. Man! One of the perks (to make an unintentional pun) of playing at a coffee house is the free java. Starbuck’s always made great cafe mochas, but Four-Star takes the cake. And having that burst of caffine-laced adrenaline right before I start playing is better than eating a fistful of speed. Not that drugs are good. ’Cause drugs are bad. Um . . . Just say no, kids.

Anyway . . .

I’ve got a couple more shows lined up next year at Four-Star. So check out the tour page and mark ’em down on your calendar. Come out and see me all hopped up on caffine and epinephrine. It’s funnier to watch than a monkey on crack.

Until next time . . .

Holly
