Okay, kids. It’s gloatin’ time.

In one week’s time, I’m going to be in Austin watching the band Live in concert at Stubb’s BBQ. My wonderful friend, Chris, has hooked me up once again! God, I love that boy. This show will, I hope, prove to be one big fat magical experience. I’ve never seen Live in concert before, but from what I know of them they can put on an extremely charasmatic and intense show. And at Stubb’s, which is such a small and intimate venue, that power and energy will (with any luck) be overwhelming. If we get there early enough, maybe I’ll get to stand five feet away from Ed Kowalcyzk the entire show. Who knows? Maybe I’ll even get a little spit action again; Bob Schneider isn’t the only musician to make me weak in the knees.



The following weekend I’ll be back in the capitol city for the Austin City Limits Music Festival. Patty Griffin, Bob Schneider, String Cheese Incident, Ruthie Foster, and so many more fabulous people there on the stages for me to gawk at and admire.

*sigh*

I feel so damned lucky today.
