Just a really quick blurb about all the stuff that's going on (musically) this month.
This coming up Friday (the 7th) Ruthie Foster is gonna be at the All Good Cafe in Dallas. If you've never seen Ruthie, and you're a fan of guitar-playing divas with a flair for earthy songs, then go check her out
Then, the next day, my future husband (though he doesn't know it yet), Bob Schneider, will be doin' his usual thang out at Trees in Deep Ellum. A special note, it's my buddy Chris's 21st birthday, so this night will prove to be a fun (and somewhat drunken) treat.
Death Cab for Cutie will be at the Ridglea Theater in Ft. Worth on the 16th. I've been waiting for this show for what seems like forever. It'll be a good one.
The 23rd (also my big sis's birthday!) brings us Pete Yorn w/ Grandaddy at The Majestic. Chris is totally psyched for this one. I don't think I'll be able to go (I'll be too busy getting my sister plowed on margaritas), but I like Pete Yorn a lot and I got to see Grandaddy open for Coldplay a couple of years ago . . . They were pretty nifty.
And, finally, I'll be doing my own thang at the Four-Star Coffee Bar in Ft. Worth on the 29th.
So, there you go. All this great music . . . I'm gonna be one broke-ass busy little bee by the end of the month. The good news, though; my show is absolutely free, so no problem there. Ha-ha.
Until next time . . .
